Children In Placement is accepting applications for Web and Online Communications Intern. This position is flexible in terms of hours and location (work from home with periodic meetings in New Haven headquarters) and allows you to develop a plan in coordination with the Director of Resource Development and based on your own skills. Initial work will include research on other non-profit organizations for recommendations on successful practices. Other duties may include but are not limited to: updating the website with potential for re-design using Content Management Systems, preparing online communications and social networking activities, conduct analysis and make recommendations toward enhancement of all internet marketing operations.
Children In Placement is a non-profit agency that provides advocacy and empowerment programs for abused, neglected and at-risk youth in Connecticut. You can play a vital role in this meaningful work and build your resume and portfolio.
Minimum Requirements:
Successful candidate must have their own computer and work 2-4 hours a week with weekly reports on progress; be mature and responsible with the ability to work independently and with others. Also needs familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, graphic design software, Facebook, YouTube and other online tools.
