This internship is closed.

Description:

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated student leaders to participate in Cradles to  internship program. As an intern in this program, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in our volunteer operations and take on a leadership role overseeing volunteer groups. During every three hour shift in our “Giving Factory,” volunteer groups of 30-100 people work to process the essential goods for children. As a C2C volunteer leader, you will be responsible for educating that group about C2C and managing their volunteer experience at the Giving Factory. Interns will also work closely with the C2C volunteer team to maintain successful warehouse operations and to identify and implement new approaches for improving our volunteer experience.

Beyond hands on work experience, we are committed to ensuring that interns learn about the various components of building a social enterprise. As such, we have designed programs for interns that will focus on social entrepreneurship and the management of a social enterprise. Through structured sessions which will include the CEO and Founder of Cradles to Crayons, Lynn Margherio, interns will have the opportunity to network and learn about the success factors that drive a social enterprise.

As a volunteer leader, you will gain skills in marketing, communication, and leadership and increase your knowledge and exposure to social enterprises. Our hope is that through your internship at C2C, you will learn valuable skills to create lasting change in the world.

Interns are expected to commit to working the full semester (approximately 12 weeks) for an average 10-12 hours per week during the school year sessions (12-15 hours per week during the summer) and responsibilities are likely to include:

  • Participate in ongoing orientation/training sessions.
