The work is on an as needed basis -- dependent on intake of new Spanish-speaking study participants. It is ideal experience for masters or doctoral students interested in maternal depression and child welfare and/or field experience and implementation of a clinical trial. It requires own transportation and willingness to travel in CT. Candidates familiar with mental health services and public health research are strongly encouraged to apply. Research assistants will be expected to participate in three days of training in late August on how to administer the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV Axis I Disorders (SCID-1). The payment rate is $20.00 per hour (does not include any benefits). The duration of the position is for up to eighteen months. Hours may be extended with additional research-related work to fill the requirements of an internship practicum.
