The company is now seeking an SQA Engineer Intern to assist our Product Development Team.
Job Description:
The SQA Engineer Intern works with the Product Development Team to assure high quality, reliable software products. This role is instrumental in assuring that the company's development processes are being adhered to, and that its quality expectations are met. This is accomplished by contributing to system requirements analysis and definition, verification and validation planning, test execution, and problem resolution.
Essential Functions:
Works independently, as well as, with a cross functional team
Able to manage a personal assignment schedule and communicate progress and problems in a timely manner
Conducts engineering research and problem analysis to support product performance specification
Specifies test plans at various levels oriented towards both functional and design verification
Executes test procedures and performs benchmarking
Conducts quality and software configuration management reviews including SQA plan audits to verify development practices conform to procedures
Contributes to the generation of technical and customer documentation
Create and maintain a software traceability matrix to track all requirements to closure
Perform validation of software controlled production test system
Understand ISO standardizations and testing procedures
Other Responsibilities:
Works on other detailed or routine engineering assignments, as required by management to obtain quality product delivery in a timely manner

Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:
1. Excellent communication skills: speaking, writing and listening, including technical writing.
2. Must have prior experience in a working environment - preferably in the healthcare industry, but this is not essential.
3. Software quality assurance experience
4. Automated test tools experience (Silk, QTP, WinRunner, Rational, Open Source)
5. Versed in industry standard quality processes
6. Versed in Object Oriented software techniques
7. Knowledge of web application technologies, architecture, deployment and performance, as well as, the related tools and practices for testing
8. Knowledge of data base applications and SQL query language
9. Knowledge of HTML, XML, JavaScript, Visual Studio Team Edition, (ASP.Net is a plus)
10. Advanced coding and scripting skills with the ability to parse files and extract results
11. Experience writing scripts for manual testing
12. Knowledge of FDA rules and FDA compliance issues a definite plus
