Description:
The Community Outreach and Marketing Intern position is a unique opportunity for an self-motivated student to gain and practice valuable skills. Duties include: outreach to various sectors of the community such as students and educators, different geographic and ethnic constituencies, young professionals, etc.; development of web based marketing, including website content, e-newsletter, educational materials, and links and postings to relevant sites; press relations and follow-up; volunteer recruitment and oversight, event management. Hours are 10-12 per week, can be designed to meet your schedule.
Minimum Requirements:
Requirements: Strong organizational and communication skills (oral and written); self-motivated with excellent follow-up; creative approach to marketing and outreach. Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, Acess, and Powerpoint. Web experience a plus. Must have outgoing, professional demeanor; ability to interact with the public, representatives from educational organizations, corporations and the media. Background in education, management or humanities a plus, a car is helpful.
