Unique opportunity for a high-energy, take-charge person to come on board as a Junior Recruiter / Intern working directly for the Recruitment Manager and assisting in all recruiting demands across several business units. This is an excellent opportunity for a bright polished student seeking exposure to the HR field, to get in and have real recruiting experience that could lead to a full time position upon graduation. Our recruitment function is growing rapidly and as Recruiter this role will be demanding requiring someone who is confident, articulate, business-savvy, and interested in making a real business difference by recruiting high caliber personnel and learning and growing professionally. Train under our Senior Recruiter to learn Gerber's recruitment practices and procedures. Learn the business needs and challenges, history, and new ventures in order to articulate this information clearly to prospective candidates. Work directly with managers to assess their business needs, write job descriptions and postings, determine sourcing strategy, track and log information, and manage the recruitment function from start-to-finish. You will provide the first impression candidates have of our company and that image should be professional and seamless. You will screen, interview and do reference checks on candidates, providing feedback to managers along the way in order to make hiring decisions and salary recommendations. We will train you on everything you need to know about our company, but it is up to you to be proactive, to learn the business, to become as effective as you can be in this role. Minimum Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Seeking a current student or graduate with Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Communication, Business or related field. Must have 1 year recruitment or general business experience. Strong internships in the HR field are sufficient. Must have strong writing skills and attention to detail. Personality and drive are important factors in this role. You must be self-motivated, able to work independently, as well as in a team environment. Strong writing skills and editing are required. You must be able to understand business needs and challenges, and parlay information into advertisements, job postings and other written documents. You must have strong organizational skills and business acumen, and the ability to remain flexible and handle unstructured situations. You must be able to effectively communicate to applicants and employees on an interpersonal level, elicit confidence of senior management and speak to groups at times. Confidentiality is a must.
