HUMAN RESOURCE ASSISTANT - JOB DESCRIPTION
OBJECTIVE
To identify, recruit and retain candidates for temporary and temporary to hire job openings within the Hartford area by utilizing the following strategies:
TEAMWORK/COMMUNICATION WITH TEAM
· Exhibit positive, enthusiastic and "can-do" attitude
· Volunteer assistance and cover as Receptionist when needed
· Communicate with management on marketing/problem resolution
CUSTOMER SERVICE
· Understand JOBPRO's policies and communicate them clearly
· Polite, friendly and professional at all times
INTERVIEWING/APPLICANT ACCEPTANCE PROCEDURES
· Interview applicants to develop candidate profile based on standardized procedures
· Conduct skill evaluations and reference verifications
· Recognize responses that may lead to a non-hire
· Communicate with management on additional testing and marketing leads
DATABASE MANAGEMENT/ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS
Document information accurately and in detail
· Create and update applicant profiles
· Create appropriate skills list to successfully match employees to clients/job orders
· Maintain reporting of incoming applicant information
Update candidate database with up-to-the-minute contacts, change in requirements, etc.
SKILL MARKETING
· Recognize matches between client/job orders and applicant and take steps to make a placement via communication with management
WRITTEN SKILLS
· Re-write and create resumes
· Select appropriate content and phrasing to present candidate's qualifications clearly
· Use correct punctuation, spelling and grammar
MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
· Proactively involved with candidate searches, offering positions and filling open job orders
PRODUCTIVITY
· Prioritize work appropriately
· Can multi-task
· Work diligently and recognize when immediate action is required
Minimum Requirements:
Prior customer related contact, experience with phones, knowledge of Word and Excel.
