ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD TECHNICIAN INTERN Environmental Compliance Services, Inc., (ECS) is an environmental consulting firm comprised of more than 200 professionals with offices throughout New England, New York, Ohio, North Carolina and Florida. ECS is seeking a Field Technician Intern for our Agawam, MA office during the summer of 2007. Duties typically assigned to a Field Technician Intern may include, but are not limited to, one or more of the following as assigned and overseen by a Project Manager or Senior Field Technician:
Sample collection and field analysis (air, soil, groundwater, water, and building materials).
Surveying (differential level & triangulation).
Basic remediation systems (SVE, AS, GWPT) installation and/or O&M.
Pilot/slug test (pump, AS, SVE, high vac., bio) data collection.
Remediation system component construction.
File review and documentation (local and state).
Lab data reduction and preparation of summary tables.
Excavation activities (contaminated soil and/or underground storage tanks).
Subsurface investigations (i.e. drilling test borings and well installations).

Minimum Requirements:
OSHA 40 Hour Hazwoper Certification is a plus, but is not mandatory as this training can be provided to you upon offer and acceptance of the internship. Actual work schedules and hours will be discussed during an interview.
