Description:
The IT Technician position involves providing support to the user community in all IT aspects of technical support and training. The help desk functions include: responding to IT service issues quickly and effectively, provide level one support on calls for computer hardware/software problems and refer help calls to the appropriate IT or BSO analyst for resolution. All calls must be entered into the HelpDesk system, and then update the call status as it changes. Follow up on all open calls with analysts and end user to ensure effective communication. Notify IT Manager of any problems requiring attention. Use remote control software to view PC problems, and resolve routine problems while on the call. The job also involves initiating purchase requisitions for replacement or repair of computer equipment, software and peripherals. Support remote community connectivity.

 

Minimum Requirements:
Candidates for this position ahould be in the process of completing a related degree program.
