The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc. (CCAT) is a non-stock, tax-exempt corporation incorporated in May 2004 and is funded under federal and state sponsored grants to address military and civilian industrial manufacturing needs; promote energy planning and policy initiatives; stimulate innovation; and enhance workforce development issues concerning technology competitiveness.
Position Title: Outreach Intern
Job Description:
Coordinate and assist with the outreach activities of the organization, including public relations and creating awareness, to promote the organization's mission and activities
Draft press releases and pitch stories to press
Conduct analysis of companies within the technology field
Conduct outreach research, including research on competitors
Develop strategy for CCAT outreach efforts in an effort to improve awareness of services offered
Participate in the strategy and planning of meetings and events
Assist in the preparation of outreach resource materials and reports
Prepare status reports on outreach efforts
Maintain and update CCAT website content
Other tasks as assigned
Education and experience: Candidates should be working towards earning a Bachelor's degree or graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field
Reports to: Chief Administrative Officer
