Description:
Response Insurance is looking for a Marketing Intern at our Meriden, CT headquarters.
This position assists in the development and production of business reports for the Marketing Department. Data is consolidated from various sources into a central reporting database and marketing reports are prepared using various software tools. The ability to manipulate data into concise, accurate reports that can be clearly understood is essential. Analytical and communication skills are required in order to evaluate results and present findings to members of the Marketing team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop reports to help accurately gauge the effectiveness of marketing efforts
- Develop weekly/monthly executive summaries of marketing results
- Conduct analysis and present findings in a clear manner
- Manage campaign source code logic and tracking
- Produce ad hoc reports for members of the marketing team.
- Prepare variance reports by comparing actual results to budget
Minimum Requirements:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- BS/BA preferably in mathematics or statistics
- Ability to create and evaluate complex reports by consolidating information from multiple sources
- Strong reasoning ability to review data for accuracy, analyze the data and offer recommendations based on the findings
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Access; SAS experience a plus
- Working knowledge of SQL and databases would be a plus
COMPENSATION & PERIOD OF INTERNSHIP:
- $12 - $17/ per hour, depending on skill level
- Internship availability for three months (June, July, August 2008) with possibility of continuing beyond summer internship
