The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc. (CCAT) is a non-stock, tax-exempt corporation incorporated in May 2004 and is funded under federal and state sponsored grants to address military and civilian industrial manufacturing needs; promote energy planning and policy initiatives; stimulate innovation; and enhance workforce skills for technology competitiveness through K-16 education pipeline and incumbent worker training programs.
CCAT is seeking a summer intern for the Manufacturing & Supply Chain Initiative (MSCI).
Position Title: MSCI Intern
Job Description: The MSCI Intern reports to the Director, Manufacturing & Supply Chain Initiative, and will support the MSCI staff in their mission to improve the competitiveness of U.S. aerospace & defense manufacturers: specifically, tasks to support on-going projects in the Machining Applications Laboratory (MAL). Primary project will be the creation standard work procedures to run demonstration parts on the various machines in the MAL.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Mastery of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) suite of software

Experience with CNC machine operation

Experience with CNC programming using MasterCam or Siemens NX

Strong interpersonal skills

Good attention to detail

Engineering experience a plus

Must fulfill ITAR citizenship requirements
Education and experience: Candidates should be working towards earning an AS or BS degree
