Response Insurance is a direct to the customer auto insurance company dedicated to providing consumers with lower priced coverage and outstanding service. We currently have policyholders in 44 states, which represent more than 90% of the U.S. automobile insurance market.
Our History
Direct Response Corporation (DRC) was created in 1995 to capitalize on the growing trend toward direct sales of auto insurance. The Company was financed with $315 million from an investor group led by Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, the private equity unit of Morgan Stanley. DRC is the parent company of the Response Insurance group of companies, which includes Response Insurance, National Merit Insurance Company, Connecticut Life & Casualty Insurance Company, and Teachers' Insurance Plan, which is an insurance and educational service program specifically for educators.
Our Leadership Team
Our founders include some of the world's most innovative leaders in the insurance industry, including James M. Stone, founder and Chairman of The Plymouth Rock Company, which operates several regional insurance companies in the northeast. Our Board chairman is Jeffrey C. Keil, President of Stoneridge Holding. Company CEO Mory Katz, who created the insurance division at Trans Union Corporation, a national data provider, leads the management team. Many of the Company's other officers were previously with some of the preeminent insurers in the nation. Together they direct a team of dedicated employees at our Meriden CT headquarters and offices in St. Louis MO, Bellevue WA, and Melville NY.

Our Interns
Response is looking for interested, educated, driven individuals to spend time with our accounting, actuarial, executive, legal and product areas in our Meriden, Connecticut headquarters. You will have the opportunity to work in a challenging environment with senior members of the team committed to making Response the premier direct to the customer auto insurance company.
INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY::
Response is looking for an individual to assist the Human Resources Department with ImageRight scanning of personnel records, maintaining personnel records, assisting the HR staff with a variety of other tasks. Additional duties assisting the Legal Department with contract and other activities if time permits. There is some scheduling flexibility for the right candidate.
Minimum Requirements:
GPA 3.2+, flexible schedule, willingness to learn ImageRight product
