Description:
This internship entails shadowing the grantwriter at HSO in order to develop an overview of what grantwriting requires. Specific tasks will be assigned beginning immediately and ranging from researching grant opportunities on specialized databases, sending inquiries to funders, making phone calls to funders, drafting letters of inquiry, drafting proposals, compiling additional materials for proposals, and delivering and mailing proposals. Additionally, the intern will experience internal meetings with program staff to develop statement of needs and new directions that are suitable matches with available funding.
Minimum Requirements:
The candidate should enjoy persuasive writing. Juniors and Seniors are encouraged to apply.
