Description:
ECS is seeking a Field Technician Intern in our Wakefield, MA office. Duties typically assigned to a Field Technician Intern may include, but are not limited to, one or more of the following as assigned and overseen by a Project Manager or Senior Field Technician:
Sample collection and field analysis (air, soil, groundwater, water, and building materials).
Surveying (differential level & triangulation).
Basic remediation systems (SVE, AS, GWPT) installation and/or O&M.
Pilot/slug test (pump, AS, SVE, high vac., bio) data collection.
Remediation system component construction.
File review and documentation (local and state).
Lab data reduction and preparation of summary tables.
Excavation activities (contaminated soil and/or underground storage tanks).
Subsurface investigations (i.e. drilling test borings and well installations).
Letter and report preparation.
This internship/co-op opportunity is full-time (~40 hours per week) and will be paid and is available for the January - June 2008 semester. Part-time hours can also be available if that is what your schedule allows.
Minimum Requirements:
OSHA 24 or 40 Hour Certification is a plus, but is not mandatory as this training can be provided to you upon offer and acceptance of the internship/co-op.
