I am launching a campaign to increase the awareness of importance of humor as a survival tool for cancer survivors, family and caregiver. We'll use targeted emails, articles, a blog, social media and press releases to media and organizational prospects.and a promo campaign to potential clients. The goal is to encouraging cancer survivors, their family, friends and caregivers to use and understand the power of humor. (I am a prostate cancer survivor so I have credibility in this market). I've been in business as a sole proprietor for 20 years as a motivational speaker and group facilitator. Based in Northampton, MA, I was one of the first to bring improv theater concepts into the business world and am the author of several books including Playing Along: 37 Group Learning Activities Borrowed from Improvisation Theater, Humor Me: America's Funniest Humorists on the Power of Laughter and Cancer and the Healing Power of Play. Minimum Requirements:
I am looking for someone who: - Is interested in learning more about motivational speaking, training, consulting and/or group facilitation - Can write and followup on effective press releases -Is reliable and a self-starter - Understands how businesses can successfully use social media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc) -Can mamage a Wordpress blog - Has the ability, interest and motivation to work independently - Communicates well on the phone and via email -Can research potential markets and clients -knows or is willing to learn how to use customer databases. - Likes a challenge!
