The Accounting organization at Northeast Utilities has an opportunity for a highly motivated student pursuing a Masters or PhD degree in Accounting. The work activities will be focused on GAAP research, new pronouncement implementation, and fair value modeling. This work will support the preparation of financial data for the various NU system companies, including both regulated and non-regulated.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates should possess excellent communication, judgment, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of advanced accounting theory is required. Individuals should be proficient in the use of MS Office applications, and have a strong interest and desire to learn and apply computer applications. Candidate must also be able to work in a fast past and changing environment. Candidate should be in possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and pursuing their Masters or PhD in Accounting.
