Wethersfield Historical Society is a private, non-profit oraganization which preserves the history and culture of the town of Wethersfield, in context with Greater Hartford and the United States. The society welcomes more than 8,000 visitors a year to its six historic properties, teaches more that 4,000 children thorugh its education programs and serves the public through major exhibitions, a lecture series, cultural and dramatic productions, and outdoor summer music series, walking tours, and lively fundraisers such as our Antiques Show, Craft Fair and House Tours. With a small staff of nine paid professionals and nearly 100 volunteers, the society offers diverse programming year round. Interning with Wethersfield Historical Society has led to several paid positions within the field of public history.
