Virtual Products LLC is a new company spun out as a project specific enterprise centered on software development in the healthcare arena, specifically in home healthcare and remote medical and security monitoring.
The management of the company has collectively more than 75 years experience in hospitals, continuing care and home healthcare. The company's mission is to develop new and innovative software applications to enhance and maximize the transfer of clinical and lifestyle information between patients, elderly and communities and their respective family members and care givers.
A programming intern working within this framework should expect to be able to use his/her skills in Visual Studio (focus on VB and C#) to assist in the ground floor development of new products.
Anticipated skills needed would include:
Proficiency in the C# language and .Net platform
An aptitude for and interest in designing and developing delegant and functional user interfaces for non-experts
Hands-experience with Windows GUI development using technologies such as MFC or WinForms
Ideally , experience in Windows Presentation Platform (WPF) development
Ideally, experience with Window multimedia technologies such as touchscreens and speech recognition
Ability to work in an unstructured and fast-paced environment
