Personal Pride Home Care LLC is a privately owned non-medical home care company. We provide homemaking, companionship, and personal services to the elderly. We believe that everyone deserves to live their life independently, regardless of age or condition. And with the additional support of home care, one can live safer, healthier, and in control of their life longer. We believe home care is freedom; the freedom to make decisions including where and how to live.
Consistent with our belief in freedom, our business is not a franchise model. It is a family owned business in its second year of operation. It is a very exciting time for us as our reputation is fueling high growth. We are also evaluating other product lines and currently run a consulting business that assist our clients in securing long term private funds for health and home care. The intern will receive exposure to the "senior" market, a demographic that is increasing in size and importance. The intern will have exposure to all facets of business and have the ability to mold the position into what interests them. This is an opportunity to make a difference and be given real responsibility in a short period of time. The intern will have exposure to both partners and will be able to learn from their approach, philosophy, ethics, and personal styles. The President hold a BS from UCONN, an MBA from RPI, and has over ten years experience working in corporate finance, planning, and operations for UTC. The Vice president also has a BA from UConn and has over ten years experience working in both corporate and non-profit settings. The internship will include functions such as: finance, accounting, human resources, marketing, product development, and human services. In addition to their standard responsibilities, the intern will be the lead on one of several projects including: Redesigning our website, designing/implementing a Quickbooks Accounting System, developing/implementing a Human Resource/recruitment plan.
