Izzy Gesell is an "organizational alchemist" who teaches people how to transform negative self-talk to positive action. They then can easily navigate their internal logjams to emerge more confident, spontaneous and effective. Through keynotes, breakouts, coaching and facilitated sessions, Izzy offers imaginative, intuitive and immediately useful insights and programs. He delivers meaningful material in an enjoyable way.
He was one of the first to apply Improv Theater techniques to training and group facilitation processes. His book, Playing Along: 37 Group Learning Activities Borrowed From Improvisation Theater, was published by Whole Person Associates in 1997. Still in print, it is used by trainers and facilitators around the world.
Invited to contribute "Improvisation and Facilitation" a chapter in the International Association of Facilitators' Group Facilitators Handbook, he is also a co-author of both Humor Me: America's Funniest Humorists on the Power of Laughter and Cancer and the Healing Power of Play.
Izzy has delivered over 500 programs to clients such as NASA, American Institute of Architects, Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Cargill, Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service (FMCS) the American Society of Association Executives.
He was awarded the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation by the National Speakers Association (NSA). Less than 7% of NSAs member are are CSPs.
