The Mission of the Greater Hartford Convention & Visitors Bureau is to enhance the economic fabric and quality of life of Hartford by:
Marketing the city of Hartford as a premier destination for national, regional and statewide conventions


Working harmoniously with other organizations involved in marketing and promoting the city of Hartford while assisting CCEDA in our goal of enabling Hartford and its immediate environment to become a regional family-oriented arts, cultural, education, sports and entertainment center that will create new jobs and broaden the tourism effort.


Servicing the needs of all visiting groups and individuals and providing visitors with a Hartford experience that exceeds expectations.



The Greater Hartford Convention & Visitors Bureau is a non-profit, membership-based destination marketing organization created to bring people and dollars from outside the region into the Greater Hartford area to stimulate the state and local economy.

The GHCVB achieves this goal by attracting hundreds of regional and national meetings, conventions and trade shows to Greater Hartford each year. To help make the planning process more efficient, economical and effective, the Bureau can help you select sites, put together a Bid proposal, arrange a site visit, promote your meeting and distribute literature just to name a few services. Services provided by the Bureau are complimentary.
