About Us:
Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford is one of the area's pre-eminent youth service organizations. We have four full-service Club facilities and five satellite Clubs in local schools. Our goal is to provide every child with the essential tools needed for a successful and bright future.
Hartford is the birthplace of the Boys & Girls Club Movement.
Founded in 1860, as the Dashaway Club, we are proud of our long and illustrious history of offering youth development and program/services. For over 145 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford have been the leading-edge provider of services to young people from disadvantaged economic, social, and family circumstances. We have been here for at-risk children and families and have provided year round after-school and non-school hours programs, services, and support. Our efforts address critical needs and problems, and have enhanced the positive growth and development of our children. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford have made it possible for thousands of Hartford's children to develop into positive, productive and caring adults.
